This is an open invitation to saddle up and ride with the Reading Tech Alliance centered around Reading, Pa. This group targets tech professionals who want to share what they’ve learned on the job and maybe pick up a thing or two to make their work better. A place to learn from each other. Showcases include whatever we can get our grubby little hands on, from web experiments and project demos to finished sites, and users are encouraged to present their work as well. If you’ve got it, flaunt it! In addition to the presentations and QA, we’ll also be hosting several competitions and giveaways, so don’t miss it!
The Reading Tech Alliance is a collective effort to raise the profile of the greater Reading area in the web community, and vice versa. Our hope is to grow the skill sets of our members while putting Reading on the map as a hot spot for talented creatives and developers in the interactive field. Why should New York and Philly have all of the fun, right? But we can’t do it without you, so if you have a project or topic that you feel passionately about, or just want to have a quickie with an experimental feature of Flash or HTML5, please let us know and we’ll give you floor at an upcoming meeting. Of course, if you’re more comfortable with coming and just chilling in the back of the room to watch some cool demos from the other users, that’s fine too. The meetings are generally pretty informal and loose, because this is about people talking shop and sharing what they know and love, not lecturing about a product. This is about you.
